This week was somewhat of a transitional week -- the boys just finished the last of their summer camps, and we are now getting ready to go back to school (finally, phew).
So, given all that, plus work and visits from out-of-town family, this was all I was able to complete. It's the eighth block from the Mystery Designer BOM 2011. Yes, that's right, I'm still that far behind. I'm linking to these two awesome blogs today!
The major breakthrough with this block was I finally discovered spray starch. It's a wonderful. I don't know why I didn't do it before, except that it gets my iron all gummy after a while.

Beautiful! Love this fabric line too:)
I love the subtle colors you chose for this block. The block itself looks like it's a lot of work. The quilt will be beautiful.
The block looks lovely. I love spray starch! Which brand are you using? I use Mary Ellen's Best Press and it is fantastic - no gumming at all. It's a bit more expensive but definitely worth the money.
Ooh! That's lovely - is the fabric moda Strawberry Fields? Don't worry about being behind - as they say in France: "Yes I said I'd do that in August - but I didn't say in which year!". The quilt will be well worth waiting for!
